The GROB universal machining centers are used in a wide range of different industries. From machining complex and high precision mold and prototype parts with compound angled surfaces and holes, aircraft and medical parts with partly 5-axis simultaneous machining and in the optical electronics industry, through to the pure contract manufacturers, who want to be equipped for any tasks. All of these are customers wanting to produce plastic to stainless steel workpieces or only in small to medium-sized series production using milling technology.

GROB Introduces Tailstock on G Series 5 Axis Machines
GROB Systems has taken the next development step: milling/turning technology. Turning technology has been integrated by GROB into the existing standalone machining centers as a continuous development of the milling technology. The milling-turning capability is achieved by a rotary table than can rotate at 800 rpm.
Therefore, complete machining by milling and turning in one clamping is possible. This means less time required and higher accuracy due to the omission of set up times.
